Marco Ballerini is an aerospace engineer who spent over two decades at the forefront of the unmanned systems industry, holding senior leadership roles at Northrop Grumman and Selex ES, leading technology roadmaps and high-tech UAS programmes, building and selling his first unmanned systems company.

He didn't come to drones from the outside. He built them, deployed them, and lived their limitations every day. Nobody thought about the infrastructure. The layer that would make autonomous operations persistent, scalable, and permanently embedded in the environments where they run — it simply didn't exist.

In 2018, he founded Dronus in Italy to build it.
